Eric Justafre

Eric joined the CERN Knowledge Transfer Group in July 2022 as Legal Advisor in the IP Management & KT Policies section. As such, he drafts and negotiates various types of agreements in relation to the Knowledge Transfer activities of CERN, and provides advices on the legal aspects of KT operations and IP issues.

Eric previously worked for the last three years as contract specialist at MMV Medicines for Malaria Venture where he drafted, reviewed and negotiated R&D contracts with academia, research institutes, pharmaceuticals, consultants and service provides, donors and contracts research organizations in view of fostering research and finding cures to eradicate malaria. He also provided legal guidance and support with respect to privacy issues.  

Prior to this experience, Eric worked at the Nestlé Institute of Health Sciences and at Bureau van Dijk, a Moody’s Analytics Company, respectively as legal trainee and junior legal counsel, where he gained valuable experience in contract drafting in R&D activities, as well as in corporate governance.

Eric holds a LL.M in “International and European Economic and Commercial Law” from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland.
