Europe needs its economy to be boosted by the ideas of its most talented scientists and engineers. One of the best ways in which these ideas may contribute to society is by creating a new business. Nevertheless, knowledge and creativity are often not enough to build a successful project; there are many obstacles in your way, your own fears and inertia not being the smallest. In this talk, I will give a personal view of the way in which you can take this big decision and some advice for the first steps, trying to avoid the general statements of entrepreneurship textbooks.
