CERN does not do medical research. However as part of its Knowledge Transfer activities, the Organization strives to make an impact on healthcare through the development of its most promising technologies.

The technologies developed by CERN for its scientific programme focus on accelerators, detectors, and computing.

At present, we do not have dedicated MedTech programmes for fellows, doctoral students, or internships. If you are looking for any such opportunity, check out the CERN jobs page or contact one of the research groups directly involved in technology developments - you can see details of these on the MAPF page.

Projects related to the medical field are performed in collaboration with external partners: universities, research centres, companies and/or hospitals, both public and private. If you are interested in collaborating on the development of CERN technologies for healthcare, contact us at
