Picotech

picotech

Picotech is a startup founded in 2017 in connection with INNOGEX, the incubator labelled CERN-Pays de GEX.

Picotech develops modules that improve the accuracy of Positron Emission Tomography (PET). These modules allow earlier diagnosis of cancers, especially prostate cancer. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in France and the second leading cause of cancer deaths.

The chances of curing cancer are greatly improved by early detection. The Picotech solution is to use its modules in contact with the body on a specific area, which can target the study of an organ, such as the prostate.

Picotech has a new innovative device for detecting the light photons: the "SiPM Strip", protected by a CERN patent.
